The Confused Brothers Band
The Confused Brothers Band
The Confused Brothers Band is a Minneapolis, Minnesota based Blues/Funk/Rock group spawned from the musical collaborations of brothers Chad and Luke Hofland. The Hofland brothers have been performing in different groups since they were young teenagers growing up in Central Minnesota. Both helped start local bands that helped them gain experience in performing and touring while gaining a fanbase that has carried over from group to group. Through happenstances unknown to most and strongly debated amongst scholars, Lucas Geraci became a permanent member of The Confused Brothers. Lucas and Luke met at college where they performed in the University Jazz ensemble and local bands while continuing to gain a foothold in the music industry. After relocating the band headquarters to Northeast Minneapolis, the three Brothers embarked on several music endeavors before establishing the coalition of The Confused Brothers Band. After only a handful of shows as a three-piece, the group gained the musical talents of two new members – trumpeter Miles Uhrich and trombonist John Carlson. With the addition of brass, the sound of The Confused became less confused and far more reminiscent of classic 70’s funk groups such as The Meters and Average White Band. Hints of New Orleans style big band and heavier rock riffs sprinkled into the mix help to modernize their sound.
The Confused Brothers pride themselves on a wide range of styles and sounds; from reggae to funk/soul, jazz to rock, while still keeping their blues roots alive. The Confused Brothers are a strong proponent of live collaborations and making music inclusive, and to that end have started several Open Jam Nights throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul areas. After having recently released a four song, self-titled EP, they are currently on tour around the Midwest.

“We are a coalition of musicians known as The Confused Brothers. If you are confused and you
enjoy funky rock music, a.k.a ‘electric church music’, join us.”
Paper Parlor
Paper Parlor
Paper Parlor began in the spring of 2011 as a folk experiment between Wilson Johnson and Kirdan Wenger. As the music flowed forth, so did the room to progress. Now a four-piece group comprised of Wenger (guitar/vocals), Johnson (bass guitar), Moriah Skye (lead guitar) and Chad Hoffland (drums), Paper Parlor has brought their formerly laid-back sound into the realms of bluesier rock-and-roll. The Minnesotan outfit intends, as always, to balance retaining their original passions with the creation of new and exciting sounds.

Most recently, they have completed a short tour of MN and surrounding areas and became the regional winners in the 2016 Hard Rock Rising Competition put on by Hard Rock Cafe. Keep your ears to the ground as Paper Parlor works to put out a second full-length album and plans to hit the road again soon!
The Anatomy Of
The Anatomy Of
Dan Smith (The Anatomy Of) has been a songwriter since he was seven years old. Writing music began as a diary that allowed him to express himself in ways that words alone could not. Over time, Dan has broadened his writing to allow him to narrate from different character perspectives and each of their truths.

Dan grew up in the Twin Cities, and his life has been a reflection of the universal human experience - beauty, hardship, imbalance, hope, and overcoming adversity. These moments have inspired Dan to create music that honors and connects people to all of the experiences of life. The Anatomy Of, to him, is the medium to share these stories with you.

While attending college in Duluth, Minnesota, Dan met his band mate and best friend Nick Glass. They played shows while becoming classically trained in voice and bass, respectively. The partnership formed organically, and Nick has added a great deal of talent and flavor to the duo. Today, they melt the sounds of folk, jazz, blues, and soul with lush acoustic instrumentation together.

The Anatomy Of has evolved over time, and has been sustained through moves, addictions, relationships, travels, trials, and triumphs. They have played shows across the Midwest in coffee houses, bars, mansions, cabins, churches, corporate events, and colleges. The Anatomy Of hopes to continue their endeavors in songwriting and storytelling in a variety of venues, while exploring new ways to reach a wide range of audiences. It is important for them to play for all who want to listen, including those who are homeless, addicted, lost, and in need. They can't wait to play for you.
Trevor Devine & The Immaculate Beings
